2021 Things I have Learnt!

Well,we survived the roller coaster that was 2020, and dare I say, it's been a ride none of us signed up for. From the never-ending COVID-19 pandemic, jobs going up in smoke, travel plans getting tossed out the window, weddings turning into Zoom parties, and even funerals playing the attendee limit game—it's safe to say we've been through the wringer. 2020, the year that felt like a never-ending Monday, right? But hey, here we are, almost done with another trip around the sun. Is it just me, or do the years start flying.Now, let's talk about the lessons 2021 gave.

What I Have Learnt in 2021!

Let's talk about something that should be crystal clear but somehow isn't for everyone: your relationship choices are your business and yours alone. When and your significant other. It's your relationship, your journey, and the choices you make should reflect what feels right for both of you. In the era of oversharing and unsolicited advice, it's crucial to set some boundaries. Your dating style, your relationship dynamics – none of that is up for public debate. Seriously, who made the rule that everyone and their neighbour gets to weigh in on your personal choices? It's like a free-for-all commentary on something that's ultimately between you and your partner. Let's get one thing straight: relationship choices are not a democracy. There's no need for a public referendum on when you decide to meet the parents or if you want to tie the knot. The only opinions that matter are yours and your partner's. It's a partnership, not a spectator sport. Sure, friends and family can be an important part of our lives, but they don't get a VIP pass into the inner workings of your relationship unless you choose to grant them one. Your love story isn't a reality TV show; you don't need a live studio audience commenting on every plot twist.

I do not need to go out and spend a lot of money to have fun an attend church every popular events, restaurants,bars, etc all the time. Ever since lock down some of my best moments have been spending time indoors with close friends cooking or ordering a takeaway and drinks, talking away all day, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Isolation is bad for the human soul, I was once a person that enjoyed my own company and I still do from time to time, however during the lock down, it had a huge impact on me, I realised how important it is to spend time with loved ones, or simply keep in touch, humans were not made to be alone. It's Not The End Of The World most of the time what seems like a big deal now will not be eventually. Yes, there are traumatic things that happened like the loss of a loved one, sudden illnesses, however, I am stating the day-to-day issues such as relationships, money woes, job problems. They are unfortunately part of adulting which can suck! However, when you find a way to deal with them it's unlikely to take up as much of your energy, you can accept the situation feel miserable or you can find a way to change how you think of so that your emotions are controlled by you.

Peace means more to me than any material possession, I mean this wholeheartedly, we see many celebrities who have every material possession known to man, yet have 0 peace! My

peace is priceless. Money Management Although we all just need food /shelter to survive we live in a capitalist society,I am from London, and a lot of our expenses go on our bills, I think Money management is important.It is very beneficial to learn how to manage money and create investments. Your monthly job salary should not be your only income. If money management is something that your family did not teach you or learnt in school, buy books, go to seminars take up courses, etc. We live in a world today we so many resources.

Friendship is better when it's too not intense. We do not need to speak on the phone daily or meet up, there just needs to be a mutual understanding that the friendship is long-term. If we need one another will let the other person know, plus it's ok to have periods of no contact, it's not a relationship that requires a different level of communication.

Helping Others we live in a society that promotes the term "self" more than ever today. Although taking care of ourselves and reaching our goals and fulfilling our ambition is great, I feel no greater value, self-worth, or purpose in life than when I can help others in some way or another. Not just family and friends that I am attached to but those I don't know for example kids in the local community, the elderly, refugees in the UK or abroad, my goals today are connected to enriching the lives of others, not just myself.

I will no longer take life for granted. Man, this pandemic has hit us hard, right? We've lost friends, family, and folks we never thought we'd have to say goodbye to. It's a harsh wake-up call, reminding us that life is like this fragile, beautiful thing that we've got in our hands.So, here's the deal—I've learned to appreciate every little bit of it. Waking up in the morning? That's a blessing. Breathing in and out? Yep, another blessing. It's easy to forget how lucky we are to just be here. Have fun! Life doesn't always have to be this serious, deep thing. I'm all about the silliness, the laughter, the downright goofy moments that make life, well.
